South Christian HS Choir 2002 Live events are filled with fleeting moments, moments that can never be recaptured again. Whether it is the intensity and passion of a conference speaker, the beaming smile on a daughters' face after a flawless piano recital, or maybe the winning goal in a sports event. At Design One, we understand the importance of capturing these moments in time and we train our video teams to be alert for those special nuances. You can sit back and enjoy the show, content in the knowledge that our ever-watchful team is covering the events as they unfold.

Perspective. When covering live action, we generally use two or more cameras. We find that this allows us to present the event from different perspectives and help give the viewer a feeling of being there, in the moment. Once we bring the footage back to our editing systems, we can blend the various camera angles into a smoothly flowing video. Using multiple cameras also has the added benefit of serving as a backup, and insures against missing a vital moment in the rare case of a technical malfunction.

Unobtrusive. At Design One, we strive to be almost invisible when taping an event, because we know that nothing ruins spontaneity and concentration more than bright lights and camera operators scurrying around, obstructing the view. We make use of telephoto lenses and remote equipment wherever possible in order to stay out of the way. But rest assured, on the occasions when staying out of the way and making a great video conflict, we'll do what is necessary to ensure that you get the best possible video.
